Lottery Commission & Legislation
The bi-partisan Lottery Commission consists of seven members, including the State Treasurer and the Director of the Division of Investments, serving as ex officio members, and five public members, appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The public members are each appointed for a term of five years.
Public members serve without compensation but are entitled to reimbursement for expenses up to $5,000 a year for the Chairman and $3,500 for the other members. The New Jersey Lottery's Chief Operating Officer is the Executive Director who also serves as Secretary to the Commission.
